Other Plane Crashes in the Local Hills Fairey Firefly of 1772 Squadron (Royal Navy) at Blaeloch Hill - grid ref. 553245. Crashed 26 October 1944 killing both crew members. Supermarine Seafire at Hill of Stake. Crashed 3 February 1947. The wreckage has now been cleared. De Havilland Devon and Vickers Wellington at Box Law. Fairey Firefly at Green Hill, on Fairlie Moor. Crashed in March 1942 killing all three crew members. Pupils from Ardrossan Academy trekked to the wreck in the 1950s.
